Iowa Democrats

I designed the bus for the Iowa Democrats’ Early Vote Express bus tour. The bus traveled around the state to register voters and get them absentee ballot request forms.

Feature 1

I had a lot of inspiration for this one — we knew we wanted to play off an “I voted sticker.” I had found this istockphoto of old stickers and I loved the font. So I pulled an old school groovy font for “VOTED.” Lauren our Iowa State Director really wanted a flag on the side, so I hand drew a flag that was a play off the same one you see on “I voted” stickers. The ‘'early’ in cursive was another hand drawn piece I was really excited about that added a pop. And the the light blue the bus is colored, and the blue that’s behind the stars on the flag are the colors of Battleground Iowa - the coordinated campaign in state working to elect Dems up and down the ballot.
